WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THESE GROUPS - YOU ASK . . .

Toronto Wildlife Centre - (TWC) is a leader in the field of Wildlife Rescue, Veterinary care, Rehabilitation and Education, providing a vital and unique service in Southern Ontario.
A registered Charity supported primarily by Donations.  TWC has grown into Canada's busiest Wildlife Centre - since opening in 1993.   Over 74,000 wild animals representing over 270 different species have been admitted for care.
Toronto Wildlife Centre's main centre of operations is a large 14,000 sq ft  facility located in Downsview Park in Toronto.  Once an airplane hangar from the Second World War, this building is now home to TWC's Wildlife Hotline Office, a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, a variety of indoor wildlife rehabilitation enclosures, oiled wildlife washing facilities, and some outdoor caging, including a large Bird of  Prey flight cage.     http://www.torontowildlifecentre.com/

Sea Shepherd - Sea Shepherd's mission is to end the destruction of habitat and the slaughter of wildlife in the World's Oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.  Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas.  By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.
Iceland, Norway, and Japan - have brutally slaughtered over 25,000 whales under the  guise of scientific research and for commercial purposes.
Sea Shepherd has gone on to end the careers of 9 illegal whaling vessels, saving thousands of whales.  These campaigns and other Sea Shepherd efforts have kept the issue of whaling in the international spotlight for the past 30 years.     http://www.seashepherd.org/
ANIMALS THEY PROTECT - - Bluefin Tuna - - Dolphins - - Reefs - - Sea Lions - - Seals - - Sharks - - Whales
When Paul Watson says that he and other members of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society risk their lives to save whales, he isn't joking.  Every winter, the Sea Shepherd staff and crew set sail to the treacherous Southern Ocean to stop Japanese whalers from catching and killing nature's largest mammals.   Documented in the Animal Planet series "Whale Wars".
